 Chiropractic Adjustments

Dr. Stephanie Greenreich has been practicing chiropractic care in Kent for 14 years.  Her approach is to provide the highest quality personal care, in an office with a warm, non-clinical atmosphere.

Dr. Greenreich provides a variety of treatment techniques including manual spinal adjustments, drop table and activator adjustments, and some cranio-sacral work.  The type of technique used will be based on the requirements of the injury, your level of pain and pain tolerance, your age, and above all else your preference.

Pregnancy Care

Chiropractic care is very important for expectant moms throughout pregnancy, and for 6-12 months post-delivery.

During pregnancy, the shape of the body -- including the shape of the spine and pelvis -- will change dramatically. Chiropractic care keeps the bones aligned, resulting in less pain in the months leading up to delivery. Care also ensures smooth, even separation of the pelvis during delivery, and proper alignment post-delivery as the ligaments regain their normal elasticity.

Greenreich Family Chiropractic has equipment to help support expectant moms. Available in the office is a table that allows for face-down adjustments later in pregnancy when the mother’s back really starts to feel the stress of a changing center of gravity.

Pediatrics

It is recommended that newborn babies are checked for spinal misalignments shortly after their arrival because the birthing process is very hard on tiny spines.  Misalignments in infancy can lead to common difficulties like sleep problems and colic. As children grow and learn to walk and play, they often take some pretty hard falls that will cause subluxations (minor dislocations) that are easy to treat when they are fresh, but can lead to more serious problems later in life if left untreated.

Dr. Greenreich has years of experience adjusting kids, from birth through late teenage years.  Newborns and infants are typically given activator adjustments (a gentle, spring-loaded instrument).  By about two years of age, children are ready to experience their first manual adjustments.  Although performed in the same positions as adults, manual adjustments to children are applied with significantly less force. back to top

Massage Therapy

Massage and chiropractic work well together. Relaxing and healing the muscles surrounding your spine allows your adjustment to stay in place longer, and get you back to health faster. Licensed Massage Therapists are available in the office six days a week. back to top

Massage Chairs

After every adjustment, Dr. Greenreich likes to have patients sit in a massage chair or lie on an intersegmental traction table for 15 minutes.  This therapy allows the muscles to relax after the re-alignment of the spine and therefore helps the body maintain its proper alignment for a longer period. Ultimately, such aftercare often allows patients to proceed more quickly through their treatment plan. back to top

 Therapeutic Stretching and Exercises

Therapeutic exercises vary with each patient and condition. A customized program will be designed for each patient's needs at an appropriate time in their treatment.

Feel free to ask for help with any exercise program in which you may already be participating, or about to start on your own. back to top
